We have had to cancel the public "Ffair Nadolig" this year - we lost the only window available due to snow - and the school are already having to reschedule the mock exams. There isn't another available time when staff are available.
Added to that - we could not arrange enough volunteers to help out on another day.
I'd love to say it's easy - but planning room layouts, organising raffles, meeting stall holders, ordering/shopping for stock, designing (and re-designing!) posters, keeping you all updated on social media - it's all time consuming. This year I'm asking Santa for a fairy godmother with a magic wand.
We now have a lot of semi-perishable items - and we don't want it to go to waste.
More importantly, we don't want to waste the pupils' efforts - they have been working hard making a backdrop for the photo booth and sixth form have been making fudge and shortcake. Others have been busy making decorations.
Please support our efforts by sending your child into school with a small amount of money to spend at the mini-fair this Friday 15th Dec., which is for pupils only.
We hope to have a further event for parents after Christmas.
