Hoffi Coffi ?
We usually provide refreshments at the various parents evenings throughout the year.
They have generally been a great success, both from a fundraising point of view and the fact that parents are able to get a cup of tea, coffee or a soft drink.
We sell a small selection of snacks to keep you going until you get home, as we know a lot of parents come straight to the school from work.
If you are able to help at any of these parents evenings - they're on the school calendar - please volunteer - it's only about an hour, but selling refreshments here and for the Urdd preliminaries helps us raise around £500 every year.
What a great success! We raised over £150. Read more here...
Party In the Park @ Pontypool.
At Party in the Park, £70.50 was raised from Tombola, a lucky dip and the quiz for a Welsh provisions hamper, which was provided by the school.
Thanks to all who contributed items for the tombola.
Staff members Miss Leader along with Miss H Thomas helped on the stall, until after 1pm, when they were relieved by Glyn Davies (PTA) with his grandson and Julie Belcher (PTA) with her daughter.
PTA Co-chairs Mike and Jayne, along with their daughter were there for most of the day and all took the opportunity to promote the Welsh language, with lanyards, badges, CD’s and bags being given away filled with information from the various Mentrau Iaith and Meithrinfeydd (Language initiative and nurseries).
On display was a "past and present” photographic history of YGGwynllyw.
Thanks must go to Bron Afon Community Involvement Team, who organised and provided the tables and gazebo at no cost, enabling Cyfeillion Gwynllyw to keep all proceeds of the event.
