Most of the time, there are only 5 or 6 of us in the PTA meetings. We rely heavily on parents to help at the Ffair Nadolig, so please let us know by contacting us via this site (contact page), Twitter, Facebook or email. We kindly ask, if you are able to make a donation that you send in to school (before 12th December) - Small NEW gifts that can be re-gifted/sold for £1 or £2 (i.e. nothing expensive) for the pupils to buy gifts for parents/grandparents/carers, etc.
Items suitable for a general lucky dip/tombola
Larger Bric-a-Brac items
Items suitable for the chocolate tombola. (No eating on the way!) If you are unable to bring the items before the 12th December, we ask that you arrive early on the 12th - around 3pm, to allow us to set up the stands before the pupils arrive. We will be selling raffle tickets shortly at parent evenings, the Christmas fair and concert. The prize is 50% of the proceeds of the draw - the more we sell, the more you could win. We have 1,000 tickets to sell - if you wish to buy some and/or if you are able to sell some for us, please get in touch. We ALSO Need help to set up stands and to clear up afterwards.I cannot stress the importance of this enough - last year, the majority of parents left behind all sorts of items - there was a lot of clearing up to do - taking down decorations, picking up litter, washing up, sweeping the floor, sorting the bric-a-brac leftovers - school was closing for Christmas and there were no cleaning staff - just us - a small number of volunteers and one or two staff. Please help if you are able, as school canteen is open the following day and everything needs to be in order for lunch.
It also takes a long time to arrange the tables for everyone - if you are able to help, we'll be setting up from around 2pm, we'd appreciate your help. PLEASE ASK, DON'T ASSUME SOMEONE ELSE IS DOING IT. |
